Boasting a frequency response of 10Hz to 50kHz with an impressive 0.03% THD, this beauty was well into audiophile territory! To get the vinylphiles attention, Marantz included a high-end Phono stage with two inputs that accommodate both
Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) Cartridge
! The high-end features go on and on with separate Source & Record selectors allowing for easy front-panel dubbing, both Subsonic & 9kHz Filters and that beautiful Stereo 5-Band Graphic Equalizer!
The
rear panel offers two
Tape Loops, a 3rd Tape/AUX input, a dedicated Tuner input and the two Phono inputs with
a grounding post
for your turntable! It also has a Voltage Selector to accommodate foreign use

This beauty weighs in at just under 20 lbs and measures about 14" x 5"
x 16.5"
wide.
By "The Best, Ltd." policy all units over 25 lbs are double-boxed for secure shipment. This one is a tad light, but considering the rarity of this amp we'll give it the high-end treatment! The posted shipping is actual cost from eBay, we add insurance on us! We do offer free pick-up for paid items in the Denver metro area.
Condition:
This gorgeous system
is in excellent condition with minor signs of use and a nice, clean front panel! Aside from some minor marks to the lid, the only other thing worth mentioning are some very light scuffs to the front panel that are too faint to make out in the pics.
All the original knobs & switches are present and complete and there is minimal scuffing to the display. Please examine the pictures thoroughly for actual condition.
Service:
When inspected, this deck powered right up but the controls were a bit scratchy. So our tech completely
dismantled
the unit to gain access to all the pots allowing him to give them a thorough cleaning with
Specialist
Contact Cleaner (proven superior to DeoxIt by our customers).
All the EQ sliders were treated with DeoxIT F5, specifically designed to both clean & lubricate fader controls.
While apart, all caps are checked for bloating or leakage and the PC boards are inspected & questionable solder joints are re-flowed.
Testing:
We set this up on our test bench and it passed with flying colors! It powered right up, pumping out a clear, distortion-free audio from all outputs with no hum or buzz! All controls, features and indicators work correctly and all inputs and outputs have been confirmed working correctly. Further testing was done, but if there are any other features you would like tested just let us know before buying.
What a great find on a top quality amp!
