Vintage McIntosh AE 2 Preamplifier in Working Condition

For sale is a stunning example of American innovation and craftsmanship. This McIntosh AE 2 Mono Preamplifier is all original and in working condition. This fine piece of American hi-fi audio history has never been tampered with and retains all of it’s original components. The preamp uses four 12AX7 tubes and is powered by either an external power supply or a McIntosh amp with an octal plug connection. The guide pin on the octal connector is missing but a small piece of it is still visible so you can properly align the pins on the connector when you plug it in. Four strong, working 12AX7 tubes are included in the sale. The preamp is guaranteed to work on arrival but due to it’s age comtinued function cannot be therefore the item is being sold AS-IS with NO RETURNS. Although the preamp is currently functioning flawlessly I recommend servicing the unit with new capacitors and resistors if it is to be used regularly. Thank you for looking.
