This is a
beautiful
RP Real Photo RPPC postcard. It shows a view split view of a motorcycle trick team performing stunts! At top they form a pyramid and at the bottom they do a trick on a cycle with a sidecar. Card front is printed and reads
Motor Cycle Display, Royal Corps Of Signals, Photo General Photographic Agency.
Formed in 1927, the Royal Signals Motorcycle Display Team later found fame as the White Helmets. Dispatch riders would mess around on their motorcycles in their spare time as they gradually acquired the skills needed to become recognized as a display team.
The White Helmets have traditionally toured the UK from April through to October each year, at one time they were considered to be the biggest recruitment tool that the Army had.
Card back is divided and is postally unused. Condition is very good as shown but appears to have been cropped uneven at the top edge. .
All of our cards are shipped USPS First Class with tracking inside a rigid postcard mailer. Shop all of our postcards for sale in our eBay store and save on combined shipping!
