Description
For sale is a Vintage Las Vegas “LUCKY COINS” machine that appears to be a Change Dispenser or Trade Simulator. To use the machine, the 5 long cylindrical metal tubes must be filled with pennies with a "Lucky Coin" inserted in between every so often so that when the handle is pulled, 5 coins will dispense into the receptacle which, odds are, may include one of the “Lucky Coins” to be cashed in for a prize or money. There are 2 indentations (one in thecenter of the payout area and one on a tab directly across from it on the back side of the machine) where one could drill holes and screw the stimulator down to a table or bar top, most likely to stabilize it due to its heavy weight once it is filled with coins. This heavy, well-made piece appears to be crafted of a combination of stainless steel and cast metal. The metal label across the front of the base reads: Patent Pending with a Shamrock Logo; the name LUCKY COINS and the Serial No. (218). The machine measures approximately 10" tall with a 4½” wide by 5¾” deep base diameter. There is no key, but the mechanism appears to be rather simplistic, so one can probably be easily made. Even if you never fill it with coins, it is a great Retro throw-back display piece, reminiscent of the pre-internet Vegas gambling days. Please examine all photos carefully prior to purchase. The piece will be professionally packed and shipped.
