Ok Folks, up for Auction is a
"Very Nice" close to mint  Vintage Phase Linear 4000 Series I Preamplifier
. It is a very attractive looking unit and would be a g
reat
addition to your Vintage Phase Linear stereo gear. I began using it this year after storing it in the closet for the last several years and
recently had the
switches and controls cleaned with De-Oxit
. The other night, I was playing my Ipod through it and one of my Phase Linear 700
amps, using some HPM 1100 speakers and "
Wow
", it really sounded great. I've always loved my Phase Linear gear. While I was in the Air Force, I bought my first Series I 4000, 400, and 5000 units when I was stationed in Germany, and I still have them to this day. T
his auction is for this Preamplifier only, and it is being sold

with no expressed warranty and no returns, however, it is guaranteed to work beautifully. For your and my security, I've documented and photographed all it's components. I will make sure that I package it carefully for shipment.
Detailed Description...Please Read:
This is a Very nice looking vintage unit. The faceplate is extremely nice with few blemishes, and the lettering is in very nice condition. The knobs are in very good condition, with the unit overall presenting beautifully. I recently had the paint on the case/cover re-powder-coated... It looks great  (See Picture of  the Top). I've tried to show the unit as well as I can in the attached pics. This would be a great add to anyone's collection. Now, in my later years, I'm selling off the bulk of my audio gear because I just don't use or want to collect them anymore. I have (3) of these Series I Preamps currently, so I will be selling this one and probably one other. I'll keep my original mint unit. If you have any additional questions don't hesitate to ask me.
