Vintage McIntosh Mc240 Stereo Amplifier
This MC240 is in Excellent electrical condition. Referring to the pictures for the cosmetics; As you can see, the lettering is nice and the chrome also, it looks very good. A professional technical and electrical engineer checked this unit out completely. The caps and a few resistors were updated to bring the unit into specification and for reliability. The MC-240 has a unique design that makes it much easier to live with than many other tube amps, old and new.  Due to a special transformer design, no manual biasing is necessary.  It is also not a requirement to use matched pairs or quad output tubes.  A perfect choice for someone new to tube amps, or a veteran that just wants a very nice unit.
The output tubes are Svetlana that have been run for 5 hours then matched into two sets. In order front to back: 12AX7 telefunken, 12AU7WA GE, 12BH7 USA Philco NOS, 12AX7 GE, 12AU7WA GE, 12BH7 USA Philco NOS, 12AX7 GE
The balance and volume controls make this amp capable of being used as an integrated amp,  Just connect up your disc player, Bluetooth adapter, streaming receiver, and so on, and you are all set.
Like all used equipment I sell, I have described this unit accurately and show unit properly in pictures. Due to potential buyer issues, they are being sold as-is and returns are not accepted. Note: the unit is also listed locally on clist like most of the gear I list.
My goal in packing is the have the unit to arrive to you in the condition it was sent. I will wrap the unit in plastic sheet, then double box it. I hope this unit finds a very good home. Please allow me up to one week after payment to ship -Thanks.
