Description
Mcintosh MC2105 Stereo Amplifier with slant-leg L54 Cabinet. Recent re-cap, FREE SHIPPING.Simply wonderful. Very detailed yet warm and smooth - great soundstage depth and width. Doubtlessly, the nicest and best documented MC2105 available. Recapped with Panasonic and Nichicon capacitors a few years ago, minimal use since. Check out the picture which lists the components used.
The L54 cabinet is quite presentable, but not perfect. The worst deficiencies are photographed. Currently,
the panlocs do not hold the amp in to the case
as securely as they're supposed to, but I hate fooling with those things and will let the purchaser correct this if he chooses.
Probably not necessary unless you plan on moving it a lot. When you do, just hold it level and you'll be fine.

Free, insured shipping is offered via Fed-Ex and applies only to addresses in the continental United States. Since this bad-boy tips the scales at SEVENTY FOUR pounds, this is a very good deal IMHO. Alaska and Hawaii will be higher. Secure, professional packing is also on my dime. 0 discount for local pickup in suburban Portland, Oregon.
In the event of a problem, please reach out to me via eBay’s messaging system rather than automatically leaving negative feedback. I’m in my 60’s and trying to scale my eBay efforts to eventually provide a good retirement income. So I’m in this for the long haul-- and know that the only way to grow is by being as enthusiastic about customer service as I am about vintage audio.
Please examine the pictures carefully. They are part of the description.
Due to the age of this device and the uncertain nature of vintage electronics, this equipment is being sold AS IS with no returns or adjustments. This is NOT a new component.
As such, it does not come with any guarantee-- implied or written. Vintage audio equipment is sensitive and does not travel particularly well. So in rare instances, that which was working 100% at my house may require adjustment or servicing before working equally well at yours. Most on-line sales of vintage electronics happen under these exact same conditions—but I just wanted to point this out so there are no misunderstandings or disappointments.
I can ship ONLY to your eBay-listed address. If you want it sent elsewhere, you will (prior to purchase), need to go into your settings and change your address—at least temporarily. Generally, I send domestic orders via FedEx. If the order value is over 0, I provide the insurance. But here’s the thing: Insured FedEx packages sent through eBay MUST be signed for by SOMEBODY at the recipients address.
Several times, I’ve contacted FedEx on a buyer’s behalf after three failed deliveries, requesting that a buyer be permitted to pick up the package at a nearby FedEx location. Spoiler Alert: They will NOT allow this. It is apparently part of the agreement between eBay and FedEx involving insured packages where the Fed Ex label is purchased through eBay. If this happens, the package will eventually be returned to me, whereupon I will resend it only after being reimbursed by the buyer for the second label. If you wish to cancel at that point, all costs I’ve incurred incidental to the failed shipment will be deducted from any eventual refund.
International Buyers:
I often get questions along the lines of “do you ship to Kazakhstan, and how much?” I ship anywhere that e-Bay’s International shipping permits. Most of the time, residents of a given country can get that information by clicking the “Shipping and Payments” tab more easily and accurately than I can. If shipping information cannot be found there, the item likely cannot be shipped to your country via any eBay-associated carriers. Please understand I have no control over the costs associated with international shipping.
In some cases, a freight forwarding service might make more sense for you. Here are a couple that my International customers have successfully used in the past and have a good reputation: Nippon Express USA or U.S. Expediters. Both are located in San Pedro, CA. Contact info is available on-line. eBay will not let me provide that here. Due to differences in electrical current and so forth, this item is not guaranteed to work outside the US, and if shipped overseas, is sold strictly AS-IS.
Your bidding/buying constitutes acceptance. Payment must be received within 48 hours, or eBay will automatically open an Unpaid Item Case against you, which negatively affects your account.
Zero or low feedback buyers/ bidders (particularly non-US ones) should message me prior to purchasing or bidding on any item of significant value. If you don’t, I reserve the right to arbitrarily cancel such bids or orders (unless payment is tendered within a few hours of purchase).
Sorry for all the “disclaimer” stuff, but to quote the Farmer’s Insurance guy, “I know a thing or two because I’ve seen a thing or two”. I’m looking forward to doing business with you and earning more of it in the future. I absolutely LOVE this stuff, and you will find me to be a reasonable, fair-minded person to deal with.
