Description

This is fully tested and sounds fantastic. Cosmetically excellent condition for it's age ( 51 years old! )  A copy of the owners manual is included.
Very minor signs of age and use. PLEASE look very carefully at all the pictures for it's exact condition.

The 250 with the autoformers handles the complex loads presented by many speakers.
The 250 has a warm sound, reminiscent of better tube equipment of that generation. Its bass is tighter, does not have the characteristic blum and does have good resolution. The dampening factor of the amp is low and this should be considered when matching it to speakers needing high dampening factor for woofer control. The midrange is beautiful. On voices, stringed instruments, and piano is envelopes you and brings you into the music. The high end is well balanced with authority and very good resolution.
The amp would not be considered neutral when compared with the current design offerings. It is an emotionally involving amp rather than one that gives an open window to the music. This does not mean that it is colored, only that it has authority; sort of like a chestiness vs. a flat chest sound."

Compression Test: The package is then tested in a press at 976.94 lbs. of pressure.
Vibration Test: The package is then put on a vibration table and violently shaken for 45 minutes.
You must pass all three tests without any damage, cosmetically or functionality.
This will be double boxed, surrounded in foam to insure safe undamaged delivery to your home or business. Yes, the shipping cost is a little high, but electronics are fragile and do require a lot of packaging and time to get them done right. I think it's worth a few extra bucks, because they can't be replaced. A
