Up for auction is this beautiful KAB Souvenir EQS MK12 Stereo Disc Remastering Preamplifier with real hardwood casing. There's an expensive upgrade that has no technical upside. This unit looks to be well cared for.
It has not been used in a couple years. It did power up for the pictures and it was working the last time I had it hooked up. Just because a light comes on, does not mean it works folks. I'm selling it "AS IS" because
I'm not a professional electrician or repair man. The unit was working fine. I'm selling it "AS IS". No guarantees or warranties given or implied. Approach this as a parts machine or a good repair candidate but HOPE
you just need to hook it up and plug it in. The opening bid reflects this quandary.

KAB Souvenir EQS MK12
is both an equalizer
and
a preamp. Therefore, the turntable would plug directly into this unit, which in turn would be plugged into the AUX jacks of the amplifier. This preamp/equalizer has 12 buttons that correspond to various recording curves (RIAA included). It also has a rumble filter, vertical/lateral switch, mono/stereo switch, left channel/right channel control, a process loop, cartridge loading settings and a final output stage offering RCA and TRS balanced outputs with adjustable gain. Some of these features are beyond the scope of our discussion here, but suffice it to say that this is a powerful unit and well worth the cost.
This unit measures 20" wide by 3" tall by 7" deep and weighs in at around 9 lbs with the power adapter.
