Here is a new Bandai Movie Monster Series 6" figure of the metamorphosing heroic cyborg who helped a muppety Godzilla defeat Gigan and his hopping mad drill monster tag-team partner from Toho's lowbrow and partially reycycled Godzilla vs Megalon (1973). While recycling is certainly in vogue today, Toho had us beat by taking special effects segments from no less than five of their previous films to pad out the threadbare monster battles that took place in deserted landscapes. But this was the rare Godzilla film that received a wide release during my childhood, so seeing it 10 times in the theatre in the span of a couple of weeks has imprinted this rainbow robot as one of my heroes. So don't let the 20 minutes of stock footage or the repetitious stock sound effect of squealing tires get you down. You can hate the movie but still love that affable android Jet Jaguar. Figure comes new with tag attached as pictured.
