Description
This is a Rare George Mc Phee 1987-88 season game used Easton Aluminum Shaft and Fiberglass replacement blade. This season the New Jersey New Jersey Devils would make their first ever NHL Playoff appearance and go on to win the Wales Division and almost the Stanley Cup as they took the Boston to a game seven in the playoffs before that loss in a Cinderella season for the organization. George would play his Junior hockey with the Guelph Platters and then go on to play 4 years of CCHA hockey with Bowling Green State University and win the Hobey Baker Award in 1981-82. He would start his NHL career with the New York Rangers in 1982-83 and play 5 seasons in their organization until 1987. In 1987 he would join the New Jersey Devils where he would play for 2 seasons before retiring. George would remain in hockey in a managerial capacity as GM for the Washington Capitals. George would also join the New York Islanders organization before becoming the GM for the Las Vegas Golden Knights in the Inaugural season taking them to the Stanley Cup Finals where he currently resides with the Knights. This is a rare and great piece of hockey memorabilia of a highly respected former NHL player and have a very successful and accomplished managerial career in the NHL.
