    Description

    OLD 17" X 20" Native American Mask Wall Hanging. Condition is "Used". Saved from Old Cabin that an Indian Couple lived in. Now long passed the new owners of the land are tearing the cabin down!  Lots of unique and beautiful Native American Art work is  saved! No artist name, however many pieces are marked with the Bear Paw design; the couple were  thought to be of the Menominee Nations Culture  located Northern WI area.
    Very Old Wood Mask with long braided hair, leather ties,  hand-painted and carved! Hair is twine or horse hair is about 29 inches with hair!  Called a False Face Mask in East Northern tribes used for healing / ceremonial pieces. The history is that they carved them out of large living trees's, so the trees continued to grow. And gave False Face tobacco offerings daily. This piece is rare and  sold as is.
