Includes (2) NOS/NIB GE (USA) 6GH8A Tubes
This PC3-B board will help you restore that old ST-70 tube amplifier to its sonic potential
This is a super nice direct drop in replacement / restoration board, no wiring changes are necessary
The PCB was acquired as part of an amplifier kit in June 2021 - purchased direct from Dynakit
The components are all fresh stock and high quality, I use these same boards/parts in my amp builds
Does NOT use 7199 Tubes - this is a 6GH8A / 6U8A Driver Board Only
This board has upgraded Mundorf MCap-ZN audio grade (.1uF @ 630 Volt) and (.22uF @ 630 Volt) tin foil film capacitors
NOS Cinch Black Tube Sockets
The resistors are high grade 1% made by PRP - these are an Audio Specific metal film type resistor
1000 Volt 390pF silver mica and 500 Volt 82pF silver mica caps at C1, C2, C3 & C4
Assembled with Kester 63/37 solder
The included tubes are (2) NIB/NOS Vintage GE (USA) 6GH8A and include their original boxes
Note:
this board has dedicated eyelets for attaching the negative leads coming from the RCA inputs rather than having to use the leads from the 10 ohm resistors like you will find on most boards. This is a big help when installing. The eyelets are clearly marked as "INPUT - L / R" . These are the two square eyelets seen at the top edge, middle of the board right under the word INPUT.
There are no instructions included and I do not provide technical or installation support. This is a DIY upgrade.
A printout indicating parts placement with the component values is included.
Amplifier NOT Included
The Dynaco 70 manual is free to download and contains step by step instructions for installing the circuit board.
If you are not well versed in electronics you should have the board installed by a qualified professional. There are lethal voltages present under the amplifiers chassis that can cause serious injury or death. If you are unsure of your ability, please heed this advice or simply do not purchase this item as it is meant for those with adequate electronic skills, proper tools, a working knowledge of electronics and a clear understanding of what safety risk is involved with the installation.
Guaranteed great sound with this board, I have used this setup dozens of times and it is really an amazing sounding board. Expect to hear the best sound after 8-10 hours of "break in time". The longer it plays  the better it will sound.
To ensure the best sound and overall results you should have a good working closely matched set of output tubes and good strong rectifier tube.
It is
recommended
to also replace the bias supply section capacitors, resistors and also the multi section capacitor while upgrading to a new circuit board.
