Custom, Mahogany Pocket Watch Glass-Top Display Case #1917
“. The Case will fit any Pocket Watch up to
Size-18
Early Railroad Watch. The
outside dimensions of the Case are: 4, 1/4” x 4, 1/4” x 1, 7/8”
.  The interior of the case has Dark Green Velvet with 1/4” Foam cushioning on the bottom for whatever you put into it. The
case has mitered corners, and is precision made of 3/8” material, note: the top and bottom fit.
The
interior dimensions are: 3, 1/2” x 3, 1/2” x 1, 1/2”,
including the padding not in compression (

).
Please note:
the bottom is inset 3/16” into the wood with Masonite which gives it a finished look on the outside.
Box comes from a Smoke Free Environment.

I have been making these boxes
since 1981 in the U.S
. All of the Cutting, Gluing and Hand Fitting and Sanding is done by myself; my wife does all of the padding and felt interior. I try to match the grain of the wood around the circumference of the box for a nice clean look. I also try to match by hand the Top and Bottom fit so it looks like one piece. If it has Glass it is inset into the wood, not glued, same goes for the bottom Masonite / Duron. I do not use an Electric sander; it is all done by hand. All of the wood is Natural, Not Stained I use a clear oil to finish the boxes. The Hardware is made in the U.S. and installed by hand, No Electric Screwdriver is used I install the screws the old fashioned way. The
CSJ
on the bottom of the box are my initials. The number on the white tag is the number of the boxes I have made to date. In other words everything is hand done.
