Carver Amplifier TFM-42 Completely Recapped and Performance Tested

I have 5 of these in my collection and considering thinning the herd. It’s not that I don’t enjoy the fantastic sound and unbelievable power but I have more than enough and could use the money for other hobbies.
This is an extremely reliable amplifier and a favorite amongst the Carver crowd.
As you can see in the pictures all high-quality capacitors were used when the amplifier was serviced. Any service bulletin that was needed was performed. After all that it was performance tested and exceeded the manual specifications!
Rated power is 375 W per channel at 8 ohms and 500 at 4 ohms or even 1000 bridged at 8 ohms!
The condition of this amplifier is very good but obviously not brand new. It has new feet on it that won’t cause any scratching to your shelf or component when you stack it.
