  • Condition: Rare block signal, made late 1920’s by Lionel for AF. It is a Lionel mostly diecast #078, maroon/white version, has No. 2033 stamped underside in yellow. Castings on these Lionel signals typically suffer from casting fatigue/warp and this is no exception. Top casting is missing, some lenses and screws from it are loose in box. Maroon base casting has warp and cracking, shows AF number underside. Balance of parts are there for you to rebuild this signal with new castings, as is, no warranty. Includes very rare original lift-top box, is fragile, has some wear and a split, nice end-label. Includes original oil paper wrap in bottom of box. I have only seen a few of these signals, and have never seen the box till now.
