    Description

    COLLECTION OF 4 VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE
    POST CARDS
Yours free with this purchase is the collector trading card
of a 1904 Indian Camelback single shown in the gallery.
    These are
    NOT
NEW.  3 of the 4 have never been used. They are New Old Stock. In other words they are vintage original postcards.  The fourth has been used and was postmarked by the U.S. post office in 1910. Price that I paid 30 years ago is still on the back of 2 of these.
Here is a great selection of 4 vintage motorcycle post cards including one Indian Factory post card showing off the new Indian arrow twin, and another showing the NEW Indian 1940 Skirted Chief 74. 1940 was the first year that Indian chose to skirt their fenders. This one might be the rarest postcard of all.
One of the cards has been written out and sent through the mail to the recipient and the postmark reads what appears to be February 1910.
A great bit of nostalgic ephemera that is sure to add charm to any collection of motocycle parts and collectibles.
One is even a parts seller's advertisement piece, showing the rider crashing his bike that reads, Motorcycle Equipment Co., Hammondsport N.Y. Certainly not what a dealer would ever use as a sales tool in this century.
