THIS IS THE KIND OF VINTAGE HONDA CB750 YOU WANT TO BUY FROM A GUY LIKE ME.  This is a private owner sale.   Treasured motorcycle, knowledgable service maintenance, experienced older owner with decades of documented actual service invoices and paid parts receipts (well over k in paper receipts), a Clymer's Owner's Service Manual and printed/bound Honda Parts Microfiche diagrams with all Honda parts numbers, and with 100% Ebay feedback since 2005.  It's time for me to sell, at the right eBay reserve price.  This is the first time this motorcycle has been offered for sale since I purchased it 3/94.   The first 21 photos shown in this listing were taken mostly today 7/24/2021.  The last 3 photos were taken in 1994 and 1995 when I lived in San Francisco for 6 years.  I rode this for pleasure many Saturdays from SF/CA to Point Reyes national seashore and all around Marin, CA.  I'd ride it anywhere...I think the. longest I rode was about 7 hours round trip one day.
1971 CB750 K1 model, Motorcycle is age 50, with 29,103 documented miles. This is an original California bike.  It's currently registered as a historic motorcycle in Colorado with a clean title, private owner -me and in only my name.
I bought this 27 years ago from the original owner just outside of San Jose CA  in March, 1994.  Found it through an ad in the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper ad (no internet back then of course).  This was my 3rd motorcycle back then, and the older guy wanted me to have it as he could tell it'd be loved.  He was right.

Runs, drives, stops smoothly and satisfyingly.  Always do a proper two minute warm up from a cold start.   You don't have to do this but....the secret to this bike's longevity is I only use ethanol-free marine grade fuel, which helps the carbs so very much, eliminating the chance for water forming in the gas tank with infrequent use over winters.  I always fuel up at my nearby marina, that's what works well for me.  This bike is always properly winterized, oil and filter and crush washers changed by me or a Honda mechanic once per year.  Battery tender during the winters.   I can tell you all about it..  The electronic Power Arc ignition upgrade makes this so much more enjoyable and dependable to ride.  I have the original
condenser points ignition to provide on request, but once you have the electronic ignition, you'll always appreciate it's reliability and smoothness.
New Old Stock HONDA OEM HM300 exhaust system installed in 2013 (a huge 00 addition and investment for me). Subtle and low key resonant OEM 4-into 4 exhaust note, that has a throaty roar, if you want it to.  Your choice how to ride.
Includes 1 original ignition key as shown (I've misplaced the other and will send it to you if it's discovered), 2 original Honda fork lock keys (that work under the steering stem, but I never used them), vintage 70's Clymer repair manual, full Honda microfiche printed parts diagram binder, and the full contiguous 27 year service and all parts replacement history receipt binder from me.
Extras include historic magazines and mid-90's newsletters from the Classic Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club as a photo shows.
2nd Owner since 3/1994 where it had 5760 original miles when purchased and registered.
Full maintenance and all HONDA OEM parts and labor receipts, lovingly cared for year after year.
Runs perfectly, ride it anywhere.

I have never ridden this in the rain (San Francisco, Marin, and Point Reyes California fog -yes).  Only my old school Honda mechanics or I are the only people who have ever ridden it since purchase.  We are a child-free non-smoking household.  It's always been garaged, and covered with a soft California Car Cover since 1994 (included n/c if you request it).
Flaws:  Please see my high resolution photos (I've only blurred the license plates and my face for web privacy.  This is a clean driver, with it's original 1971 factory paint Candy Ruby Red.  It's sun-faded at the top of the plastic headlight bucket, and there's a little surface rust at the headlight fork ears.  Where the front of the seat touches the gas tank, it's rubbed the paint as a photo shows.  A cable has worn through the black paint at the center fork tree stem between the speedometer and tachometer with normal friction from turns.   The left gas tank strip has the same corrosion as it did in 1994 (the 1st owner let a minor fuel spill blister the left side decal..shame).  I've never attempted to repair or redo it.   There are other nicks and scuffs on the plastic side covers, please see my close up photos.   I'm happy to provide more photos or video on request.  The original spokes and wheel rims have some scuffs/oxidation, and what I'd call a patina to them.
It's never been down, and never been in an accident.  I ride it very conservatively.  Every part on it is completely OEM original Honda matching part, except for the electronic Power Arc ignition with NGK Iridium spark plugs, the 2 Bridgestone tires, and the RK O-ring chain.  I also added an additional matching OEM chrome grab bar to the right side in 1994 or so (same as the left side.  I've rarely ever ridden with anyone on the back.  My wife has been nagging me to sell this for years and get a 60's antique convertible for both of us -that's the real motivation for selling.
If you've read this far, ask yourself if you want to buy a CB750 from another seller who's flipping a bike he might have fixed up last month, or do want one like mine that has ever single receipt documenting down to the date and price paid for purchasing that annual Honda oil, filter change etc..?    I'm a packrat.  This is the real deal summary from me, flipping through the original paper service record receipts I've documented and YOU get to have upon proper transfer of sale, title, and cash balance due at pick up.  If a service or two was paid for in cash around 2017 or 2018 to a master Honda motorcycle mechanic coming over to my garage, then there's no receipt for that, of course.

Carb boots were not properly tightened and leaking air, clean corroded kill switch, adjust turn signal switch, lube and adjust chain, replace speedometer back light bulb, install new spark plugs (NGK D8EA)
